It's a pleasure to serve until 2013!

Dear Friends,

     I am truly humbled by how much we have achieved by working together over the past five years. Work is going very well.

     We created the Muir Woods Shuttle, which helps remove 25,000 cars from the roads during the summer. We have launched the innovative Federal Bicycle and Pedestrian Pilot Program, which is helping to promote transit alternatives. We preserved St. Vincent’s and Silveira from excess development. We’re moving forward on the Community Choice Aggregation plan to enable Marin to receive 100 percent renewable electricity. And we adopted an award-winning Countywide plan which has been recognized for its strong climate protection measures.

     Now, I am running for reelection because there is much more work to be done. I promise to continue working on the issues we face as a community, and I hope to have your support. 

  • I pledge to protect Marin's undeveloped lands and advocate for environmental stewardship in all County decision making;
  • I will promote a countywide system of local shuttles that run on alternative fuels;
  • I will increase water conservation and energy efficiency programs across Marin;
  • I will integrate housing and environmental policies.
